About the conference

We are pleased to announce the 13th edition of the Ultrafast Optics conference (UFO XIII) that will take place on the 26th - 31st of March 2023. The conference is planned to take place as a fully in person meeting.

UFO is the premier international conference on the science and technology of the generation, manipulation, and measurement of ultrashort pulses, fully independently organized by scientists in the field and with the strong support of industrial partners.

Following a long tradition of taking place in very special locations, the next UFO will be held in the city of San Carlos de Bariloche, located in the region of Patagonia, Argentina. At the heart of the so-called 7-lakes region, Bariloche offers magnificent Patagonian lakes and mountain scenery, making it an ideal framework for finding out the latest advances in ultrafast science and a perfect networking retreat with the ultrafast community. Furthermore, its location in the heart of Argentina makes it perfect for an extended stay to visit the beauties of Patagonia and the rest of Argentina.

We hope to see you in Bariloche in March 2023 — please do not hesitate to contact us personally or at info@ultrafastoptics2023.org should you have any questions about the conference.
